I collect state project books and, since I live in Maine, this one was a must. That said, it is disappointing. The information is pretty good but, the writing is not the greatest. The book does not give much information about the maker of the quilts either. However, I do realize that information on Maine quilts is not very abundant as it was on the edge of civilization in the early years of the country,. The writing jumps around a bit and does not always follow logical thinking. Also, I wish the photographs were larger; the format of the book is large enough to allow for bigger photos. I can't comment on the quality of the photography because the photos are too small to tell if they are good photos or not. Well researched.
